I am passionate about helping people gain comfort and success in their life. To be able offer a solution to their foot or leg pain, which in turn enables them to reach their goals is very gratifying. These goals maybe to complete their complete 1st half marathon or to be able to return to work after months of disability. The solution might be as simple as removing an ingrown toenail for immediate relief to designing an orthotic and management plan for someone’s heel pain that has been previously plaguing them for months.
I enjoy the challenge that comes with the complexity of the foot and leg, and how individual each injury can be.
I am fortunate enough to have both a Phys Ed and Podiatry degree. This has given me a huge knowledge base and understanding of many sports and recreational injuries. My experience ranges from working within the hospital and residential care settings within my early days, to the many recreational and elite athletes that limp in through the door. I have also recently retrained in pediatric toe-walking. Athletes range from running, walking, rugby, cycling, ballet & dance, netball, hockey, cricket bowling, soccer…I am also a Mum of a busy 6 year old boy, who loves “keeping me on my toes”.
I have solid working relationships with a number of health professionals (GP’s, orthopeadic surgeons, physio’s, osteopath, chiropractors), coaches, trainers and footwear retailers.
